Syracuse University Permanently Expels Theta Tau Chapter

Chancellor Kent Syverud today announced – via the below video message – the permanent expulsion of the Syracuse University Chapter of Theta Tau. This announcement follows the immediate action, including the interim suspension of the fraternity, Syracuse University took within two hours of receiving and authenticating the disgusting video involving chapter members.

As communicated by Chancellor Syverud to all alumni, the video that surfaced earlier in the week was extremely racist, anti-Semitic, homophobic, sexist and hostile to people with disabilities. This behavior and conduct has no place in the Syracuse University community.
