iSchool Dean’s Fund

The iSchool is known for taking trips to see how companies use different technologies in day-to-day business. I’ve been on five of them, and each time I’ve been able to experience technology in a real-world context.

Where Funds Go

The Dean’s Fund supports all initiatives at the iSchool. It provides financial support to attract the most enterprising undergraduate students, create more research fellowships and assistantships to attract master’s and doctoral students, help students launch entrepreneurial initiatives, and promote student and faculty research. Funds are also utilized to enhance and update technology within the building.

Every Gift Counts. Every Donor Matters. Make a Difference Today!

The Dean’s Fund allows the School of Information Studies to be innovative, creative, and exploratory. It supports our students’ ideas and academic pursuits as we adapt and adjust to the constant changes in the world of information technology.

  • $44 helps fund workshops and learning opportunities sponsored by the iSchool’s student organizations, like the Women in Technology group.
  • $144 sponsors a company visit on one of the iSchool’s immersion trips.
  • $444 helps offset travel costs for an iSchool Library and Information Science student group attending a regional conference.

We are proud of being the Original Information School, and your gift helps us remain at the top of the field in the rankings by U.S. News and World Report.
