What is Boost the ’Cuse?
Boost the ’Cuse: 44 Hours for Syracuse University (#BoostCUSE) is Syracuse University’s third annual giving day. It runs from 4am EST on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 through 11:59pm EST on Wednesday, November 6, 2019.
What’s the goal?
The goal is to inspire at least 5,000 alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff, and friends to make a gift of any size to Syracuse University on November 5-6, 2019.
How can I boost my gift?
Throughout the days, challenge dollars will be released as various milestones are met. Through these participation challenges, dollars will be unlocked and awarded to our most vital areas―scholarships, the Annual Fund, deans’ funds, etc.

Can anyone participate in Boost the ’Cuse?
YES! We need our entire community to participate to have a successful day.
How can I make my gift on October 25?
- Go to BoostCuse.syr.edu Your gift will be recorded in real time. To make your gift early, give online!
- Call 315.443.1848 or simply answer your phone when a student calls.
- Visit our tables on campus day.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. All payments will be processed using a secure online giving form. The information collected during #BoostCuse will be used solely by Syracuse University.
Is there a minimum gift?
No, gifts of all sizes are welcome and appreciated. Collectively, these gifts add up to a big impact for current and future students.
Do pledges count on giving day?
Though we appreciate pledged commitments, only gifts made and fulfilled on November 5 or 6 will count toward our goal.
Can I make a recurring gift?
Our giving day is focused on one-time gifts. You can always start a recurring gift at givetosu.syr.edu, but only your first payment will count toward our goal for the day.
Do I have to support a specific fund for my gift to be counted?
Nope! We want you to support any area you’re passionate about. But we do hope you’ll consider giving to our many funds that support broad efforts all over campus, like the Annual Fund, the General Scholarship Fund, and deans’ funds.
What if I already made my annual gift this year?
Thank you for your generous support! We appreciate your commitment and encourage you to make another gift during #BoostCuse to participate in the challenges. You can also encourage others to make their gift!
Is my gift tax-deductible?
Yes. You’ll receive a receipt for tax purposes immediately following your gift. Any questions about your receipt can be directed to Advancement Services at 315.443.1718 or sudonors@syr.edu.
I'm not in Syracuse. What's happening off campus?
