Alton Chow G’97, Vice President and Managing Director for Central China at AECOM, will serve as the evening’s moderator.

Chancellor Kent Syverud
Kent Syverud is Syracuse University’s 12th Chancellor and President. He has earned distinction as a strategic thinker and visionary leader who has put forward a bold strategic plan to position the University for growth and recognition as a thriving global research university. Recently, he launched Invest Syracuse: Advancing Academic Excellence and the Student Experience, a bold and balanced approach for Syracuse’s future.

David Van Slyke - Headshot
David M. Van Slyke is Dean of the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University and the Louis A. Bantle Chair in Business-Government Policy. Van Slyke is a leading international expert on public-private partnerships, public sector contracting and contract management, and policy implementation. Van Slyke has worked extensively with senior leaders in government, nonprofit and business organizations in China, India, Peru, Singapore, Thailand and other countries through the Maxwell School’s Executive Education program.

John Liu Headshot
Zhanjiang “John” Liu, SU’s Vice President for Research, is an accomplished administrator with demonstrated success in growing SU’s research enterprise, enhancing scholarship, promoting interdisciplinary collaborations, supporting research infrastructure, supporting graduate programs, and developing international collaborations. Liu has provided leadership for various national and international functions, including serving on the Advisory Board for the National Laboratory of Qingdao Marine Science and Technology of China.

Alton Chow - Headshot
Alton Chow G’97 is Vice President and Managing Director for Central China at AECOM, which includes the Shanghai, Suzhou, Ningbo, Wuhan, Chongqing, and Chengdu Offices. He focuses on strategic development and management for the firm’s holistic services, including design, build, finance, and operational capabilities. In addition, he serves as president of AIA Shanghai and is a board member for SU’s School of Architecture and sits on the Advisory Board for ULI in China.

REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY FOR SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY EVENTS

Cancelled Events – If your event is cancelled, we’ll inform you of the cancellation and refund the amount you paid for your tickets, including all fees.
Rescheduled Events – If your event is rescheduled, we’ll contact you with the new date and time ASAP. If you can’t make the new date, the decision to issue a refund will be at the discretion of the event manager. No refunds will be given after 7 days following the conclusion of the rescheduled event. To request a refund, please contact us: sualumni@syr.edu.
Replacement Confirmation – If your confirmation email is lost, stolen, damaged, or destroyed, please email us:  sualumni@syr.edu. We are happy to help.
