What wine do I bring to an intimate holiday party? What wine should I pair with my home-cooked meal? What wines are great for giving as gifts? Join Torrey Grant ’97, an adjunct faculty member in Falk College who teaches the incredibly popular “Beer and Wine Appreciation” class at Syracuse University to learn the answers to these questions and more. We’ll (virtually) taste wine together, sampling Capiaux Pinot Noir, Cakebread Chardonnay and Barone Pizzini Franciacorta. The holiday season can be overwhelming, so let us help you tackle the decisions of what to pour in your glass, and what wines to give to your friends and family.
This program is in partnership with our Alumni Club of Philadelphia. Meet Bill Gehrman ’92 and Jon Kleinman ’92 who will open and close our program.
Make sure to join us live: during the program receive an exclusive 30% discount to select barware at the Syracuse University Bookstore and a special list of Torrey’s favorite wines!
Please note that closed captioning will be provided for this virtual program.

Torrey Grant ’97, Falk adjunct faculty, is in his fifth year teaching Beer and Wine Appreciation at Syracuse University. Grant also works as a retail consultant and educator for both Wegmans and Liquor City in Syracuse. An advocate of the unconventional — think pairing Champagne and hotdogs — Grant has melded his trained palate with Syracuse’s homey, simple nature!
