Are you interested in moving to the DC area after graduation? Do you have questions about potential career paths using your major? Join us for DC Immersion Experience 2022, March 24 and 25. After many years of bringing students to DC and Baltimore for DC Immersion Week, this year, we’re bringing the immersion experience to you with a reimagined on-campus program open to all students, including an in-person career workshop, networking reception, and industry conversations featuring alumni from DC, Maryland, and Virginia representing popular industries in the region.

Navigating the Federal Job Application

Don’t miss this afternoon workshop led by Federal Job Search Trainer and Federal Career Coach Adelle Dantzler G’93. With over 25 years of experience in the career and leadership development field with both Fortune 500 companies and federal agencies, Adelle will walk you through the tips and tricks of completing an application for employment with the federal government.

DC Immersion Experience Networking Reception

Practice your networking skills and learn more about the DC area as you mix and mingle with the DC, Maryland, and Virginia based alumni who are participating in this week’s industry conversations. Come prepared with your questions about what it’s like to live and work in the National Capital Region, and learn more about opportunities available to you after you graduate.

Industry Conversations
  Friday, March 25, 2022
  11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Join us for a series of four panel discussions featuring alumni from DC, Maryland, and Virginia representing the following industries: Communications, Government, Consulting, and Nonprofits. These conversations will consist of a dialogue on the state of their industry in the region, tips on networking or job searching in our current climate, and what it’s like to live and work in the DC area.

Come for all four conversations, or drop in when your schedule permits. There will also be space available for you to talk one-on-one with alumni. Box lunch will be provided.

REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY FOR SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY EVENTS

Cancelled Events – If your event is cancelled, we’ll inform you of the cancellation and refund the amount you paid for your tickets, including all fees when applicable.
Rescheduled Events – If your event is rescheduled, we’ll contact you with the new date and time ASAP. If you can’t make the new date, the decision to issue a refund will be at the discretion of the event manager. No refunds will be given after 7 days following the conclusion of the rescheduled event. To request a refund, please contact us: suindc@syr.edu.
Replacement Confirmation – If your confirmation email is lost, stolen, damaged, or destroyed, please email us:  suindc@syr.edu. We are happy to help.
