It may be the middle of summer, but it's never too early to start making plans for the fall!
Registration is now open for Orange Central 2022, Syracuse University's annual homecoming and reunion weekend, which will be held on campus Thursday, Sept. 29 - Sunday, Oct. 2.
Highlights of the weekend include Friday evening's Syracuse University Alumni Awards Celebration, a giant tailgate on the Shaw Quad prior to Saturday's football game against Wagner, the Generation Orange Celebration for young alumni and - new this year - huge Saturday evening parties for alumni who graduated in the ’80s or ’90s. There will also be interesting "Back to the Classroom" programs, the family favorite 'Cuse Cookout on the Quad, school and college breakfasts, campus tours and more!
This year's alumni award winners include Arents Award recipients cartoonist Robb Armstrong '85; JetBlue President & COO Joanna Geraghty G'97, L'97; award-winning theatrical producer Stacey Mindich '86 and retired cable television executive and Syracuse University Life Trustee Robert Miron '59; Melvin A. Eggers Senior Alumni Award recipient Dr. Carole Leland '56; Generation Orange Award recipient Jamal Salmon '12 and Military/Veteran Award recipient Melvin Stith G'73, G'78, a former dean of the Whitman School of Management who earned both an MBA and Ph.D. from Whitman.
